FCIOC was formed in July 2002 in response to the community’s request to understand Cotter Corporation’s operation and regulatory requirements.

Since 2002 FCIOC:

• provides a monthly "open door" to Cotter to talk about anything
• reviews Inspection Reports and Violations for harm to employees, public and the environment
• sponsors the Mill Tour
• reviews mill reports
• reviews all accidents, spills and subsequent Cotter and Government responses.
• responds to questions submitted to Inspector Sleuth
• participates in CDPHE/EPA Community Advisory Group since 2006
